Saturday, day 4

All,
Sick guy again.
I have held out hope that we could be with you for at least a short period tomorrow at church. It is now 4:01 (that is 1601 for military, the short hand is on the 4 and the long hand is just past the 12 for the guys in youth ministry) and hope is pretty much gone. A walk into the back yard and the day long hike back, has pretty well ended my hopes of being with you in the morning. We will regroup and make a plan for next Sunday.
It will be most unusual to be home on Sunday morning. I will be praying for Lee as he preaches and for the church family as they hear and hopefully worship.
Next week i may post some Theology. That is both a disclaimer and a warning. God has put some things on my heart that I want to share. Beyond that, God has confirmed some things that He had burdened me with weeks before surgery. I am anxious to share and get your reflections.
Thanks again for the prayers and love.
Blessings,
PA

Hi Boss,

Just caught up on your week, I have been oot and did not take a laptop. Glad you are home! Hate you have to miss tomorrow, I will too, have to work and Lee's message will not be the the same if you (people) arn't there for the visual.

Get well soon.......

You are in our prayers.

Pastor Aaron and Denise,
I was so excited to get to see you two the other day when you stopped by the Church for a quick visit. It made me realize how much I miss you both. Pastor Aaron, listen to all your people and be patient. That's easier for me to say than actually do it. I would be just like you and try to do to much. Usually what helps me slow down is when people help me realize it's going to take longer to get back into my day to day if I jump too soon. I'm always worried about others and how they need me (which I would assume you're doing) and then push myself too far. Maybe God is going to use this "down time" to fill you with lots of good messages for His people. Which is sounds like He's already doing. Sometimes when we're BUSY (buried under Satan's yoke) we don't get the full effect of hearing from God. So rest in Him and we'll continue to pray for God's healing and revelation in your life. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you two.
Oh, thanks for keeping the blog going. I told you I will still go on here daily looking for you. If you read the "90 minutes in Heaven" book mentioned in this blog (which is an awesome book and I was hoping you would read it), remember he learned a lesson of allowing others to minister to him in his time of need. It does us good to get to be there for you two. We're putting your teaching into practice!

God Bless,
Dee and family

P.S.
The Weekday staff misses you and are all praying for you.

PA, AJ, Sick Guy, Reverend Doctor Pastor Brother Aaron - if you don't get your rear in that recliner and stay there for at least few days, I'm going to skin you. Folks that ain't from 'round here probably never heard "going to skin you" before - my daddy used to tell me that quite often and I knew what he meant as I'm sure you do to. As much as we want to see you and vice versa, you got more important things to do - mainly GET BETTER.

You were both lifted up in prayer at the men's breakfast this am - and at other breakfast tables across at least three states I'm sure.

Stay at home tomorrow - if you don't we won't get to see another Veggie Tales.

All our best, the Smiths

Pastor Aaron, I can't believe for one minute that you would even think that you are ready to come to church and have hundreds of people converge on you. I know you are having "cabin fever" but trust me you will be having "hospital fever" if you even think of coming back any time soon. Please rest, rest and rest some more. I know your heart wants to be there but your body is not capable.
Psalm 27:13-14
"I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."
Psalm 23:2-3
"He leads be beside the still waters, he restores my soul."

Please wait by the still waters while He restores your body. God please, please heal Pastor Aaron. God please heal Pastor Aaron. God please heal Pastor Aaron. I know I repeated myself. I know God hears it every time I pray it and he also hears many of the same words prayed by many others.
Love you both, Linda Ward

Elisa just told Laura's mom you came home with a cat in your shorts. I'll leave it to you to decide which you prefer...

Hang in there! We love you.

PA and Denise,
Matthew, Michael, and I just got home from Holiday, FL, and we're soooooo glad you guys made it home to Acworth before us!

Yes, tomorrow's services will be powerful, and Leon said he'll be recording it, so you'll be able to see it in reruns.

We all look forward to seeing you, BUT you MUST GET BETTER first! There'll be plenty of time for visitin' once you've recuperated more - take your time and don't push yourself (like everybody else has said before me....).

We love and miss you,
Robin Head

You know how much we miss you, but we don't want you to move from that house until "Dragon Lady" agrees you are ready. It was great to get my "hug" even briefly and to see your smile, but we can wait. Be patient and just enjoy the love and prayers that surround you. Millie

Pastor and Denise,
I'm pretty sure after reading all of the messages you both know how loved and missed you are. Although we would love nothing more than to see you, I want to tell you how proud you can be of the staff at Summit. They have done an outstanding job delivering God's word in each ones unique way. Our Pastor may not be there but the Holy Spirit has been ever present. I am so anxious to hear from God through you once again. Denise, I know he's bigger than you but don't let him talk you into overdoing it. We want you both back soon and don't need any set backs because of PA trying to push himself. May our precious Lord continue to strengthen you both.

Well, we sent you to bed without our post on Friday and now you are sending us to bed without your post! We hope you are doing ok today. REST!!! Don't get frustrated because of your lack of energy. Enjoy this time that God has given you to go slowly. We see Him more clearly when we slow down anyway!

We will continue to pray! Great is His faithfulness!!

Enjoy your night's rest...

It doesn't look like anyone has mentioned it yet, but Lee really knocked the ball out of the park today. You'll definitely want to get the video. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. The gospel was presented as clearly and simply as I've ever witnessed. I wanted to get saved all over again.

I guess that's one of the multitudes of blessings in our walk with the Lord - his mercies are new every morning.

Our continued prayer is that the Lord will pour out new mercies each morning - and fresh waves of healing.

Have I mentioned lately that we love you guys?
