Day 20. 5 12:55 p.m.

Hey all,
not as sick guy's - sidekick,
We have spoken to the Doc this morn - Aaron definitely has a bladder infection and all indications has poutchitus. YUK! He was terribly dehydrated, again - due to the poutchitus. Yesterday he was so nauseous he could not eat or drink and got really behind on his fluid intake. He is on an IV still, is getting his 2nd bag of Cipro and feels much much better. He is off suction again - eating and intubating. Which went well. They are doing lab work to be sure the infection has not made it to his blood stream. He is so much better that i really don't think it has. Yesterday i would have said different!! That is why i sent the call out to pray - antibiotics are really good - but coupled with prayer - that can't be beat!! Thank you for praying - we needed it once again. We are so in your debt in that department - although i must say "some" of you guys i have heard from have been the recipient of a lot of praying in days past!
Word is if infection has not made it to the blood and everything continues to progress - we will get to flee this 'paradise' (i use that term so loosely) tomorrow!! He will come home with the cath and immediately be under the care of a urologist there. He still has a long road to complete recovery, as all keep saying here, "you have had MAJOR abdominal surgery - be patient with yourself." So i ask that you be patient as he recovers once we get home. He will be so anxious to 'get back in the swing' it will be hard to take it slow. I am counting on all you guys to help him take it slow.

Thank you again
love ya bunches

There must be something to this prayer stuff ...

Saw something earlier today that I thought epitomized the two of you:

John Quincy Adams once said: "If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." Thank you BOTH for being our leaders.

Praying that bedtime tomorrow finds you in the comfort of your own home.

Denise,
Hold to your instincts as "dragon lady" when you get home. Aaron does need his rest to fully recover. We will continue to pray for ya'll from afar until he feels up to visitors and activity. I don't know anyone who would be offended otherwise!! We love you so much and continue to pray that today goes considerably better than yesterday.

Okay, here's a quote from someone pretty famous in my book - my mama. She used to tell me, "It takes as long as it takes. It's not a race, so there are no winners or losers." If that works for you feel free to use it! She also said, "Bless your heart" a lot, but I don't think it was sincere! :) Southern women...
Glad to hear things are better. Yet another "rainbow". We continue to pray.

I haven't posted in a while, but just wanted you both to know that we are constantly keeping an eye on you from the web and are continuing to pray for you. We hope that you are able to get home tomorrow and rest in your own bed. I know more people than you can count have made this comment, but if there is anything that we can do to help once you are home, please do not hesitate to ask. Beyond that we will see you when you are ready to be seen.
Your Brother,

Joe and family

Now Denise I hope you and PA know that I was kidding about Ben's dedication (yes we changed Gabe's name to Ben a week ago, no joke). We will work out the details later.

Temple, I and Luke (he is praying too) will pray for a safe and comfortable trip home.

Well...you are now on the prayer list at Acworth United Methodist Church. I was able to spend some time with Pastor Andy Witt today at a luncheon. NO...I was NOT church shopping (I finally found where Chris and I should sit and we are staying put!!!) I asked him to say some special prayers for you.

Stay strong, Denise...you are quite the cheerleader! Take all the time you need, PA...we will wait and pray!!!

Blessings,
Chris and MaryBeth

We are so excited about the return to Georgia! As with everyone else, we are acknowledging that you aren't accessible for a long time still! If you need help getting rest and keeping people away, we can have a posse standing guard at your house in no time! :) Seriously though we really are ready to help whenever you need it.

Here is hopefully your last knock knock joke in the hospital...

Knock Knock

Who's There?

Jess.

Jess Who?

Jess open the door and don't ask questions.

(I think the boys laughed so hard at this one because of mommy's delivery of the joke).

Love
The Traylors

Was very moved tonight by a service I watched online. It made me think about how so many of us have come together for Aaron, our brother in pain, to lift him up to the Father. And then I think about how there are so many others in our midst who are hurting, suffering, who need the love of the Father. And then I think about those who think that its okay to worship the Father by themselves, totally missing the blessing of a relationship with other believers. For those people, the following link is for you. It begins with music before moving into an awesome testimony of God's Grace and Provision.

We love you Aaron and Denise. What a joy to lift you up to the Father through your suffering. What a joy to fellowship, to pray, to sing His praises with you each and every week.
