Day whatever post whatever

All,
sick guy with poor computer skills here.
I don't know what i did, but i published before i was ready. So, please read the one below first, then this one.
! tomorrow is going to be completely unique. We are driving home. We will have to stop every two hours for my system. At that rate, we should be home some time near the end of August. No, i plan to sleep in our own bed in Acworth, GA tomorrow night. I will be seeing many of you very soon.
Thanks for making this dark valley navigable.
Blessings,
PA

I will be praying especially hard tomorrow! I wish I was one of the privileged that will be seeing you and Denise soon, but I guess I will just have to wait! Know that I am close in heart, and He binds us all together!

Hugs to you~

Old Man (it's only a joke),

I do not think you have become the little old man that walks around with a bag. Saturday was the first time I have been around you in a VERY long time. Your smile still lights up the room and simply being around you still makes my heart smile. It's a comforting feeling. Physically, you probably do have a mountain to climb in order to get back to the place you were before this procedure.....but you are Aaron Johnson....you have so many people praying for you.....you will get there.

I must comment on what BJ and Jonathan both said. BJ said something about the youth revival....wasn't it called Impact??? He called it Explosion....but maybe that's how he remembers it because of the the explosion he helped to cause. I think it was Impact...there were black t-shirts with a bright yellow sunburst on them and they said Impact in bright orange....right? I remember this because I was only in the 5th grade and this was held at Boaz High School. I came with Deidra (I think I missed the night of the explosion) on February 15 (my parents anniversary) and that night I became a Christian in the band room at BHS. I'll never forget it. That's also the first time I ever heard you speak.

I have several fun memories from youth retreats. You always took us on the greatest trips. Really...how do you beat Mentone, AL??? If I would have thought about it on Saturday, I would have brought some of the pictures with me. Do you still remember the trick to getting the last person over the wall (you know, the one where once you are over you can help the next two people....but that leaves the last person on the ground)????? I seem to remember something about Brandan Brown and a pair of jeans....

Have a safe trip home tomorrow. If you have to come back to follow-up with these doctors....let me know, would love to see you again and give you a place to stay if needed.

Love you both!
Kylie

PTL!!

What great news. We are so happy to hear that you will be getting to go home tomorrow. We sent you a card with some pictures on Saturday, so if you don't get the card before you are released let me know and I'll send copies of the pictures to your house. Wanted you to see how our family has grown since you left our fair city.

As I post there are nine kids in our house - none related to us by blood - but all related to us by love. I believe you preached a sermon once about the fact that since we are made in His image, we also have an infinite capacity to love. It is amazing how our hearts expand. We have three sets of siblings complements of DHR in our home tonight. Each one is precious, and as I type there is actually no screaming, and we have 1/3 of the showers complete. Tomorrow is the first day of school and promises to be exciting.

We'll keep praying for you - please keep praying for mom. She and dad left this morning for the beach.

We love you and continue to be blessed by you both.

Thanks
In His Love
Lea & Snow

I hope you will keep those of us that are not in Acworth posted on how thing go.

We love ya and will continue our prayers.

The use of this blog has been great, while many of us do not know each other personally...we are bound by Christ love and our prayers for one of God's chosen and his family.

You are not at all "an old man with a bag." You are a beautiful child of God who has taken advantage of a procedure that allows you to continue glorifying our Father. I'm not in any way trying to make light of the challenges that your're facing and, oh, how I wish that they could be removed from you! I'm just saying that you are of so much value and it is painful to hear you speak of yourself as anything less. You remember that when WE are weak, He is strong! The Almighty has "got your back."

We're so happy that you're coming home! We promise to continue allowing you to heal and won't be on your doorstep. You just know that we absolutely love you and your family!

Godspeed...

Will be praying as you travel. You will get tired fast so just don't overdo. We know that you are still a "sick guy". While we have joked and kidded around, we know you have been in some agonizing pain, have had suffering that you never had before. We are so sorry you have had to go through such a difficult ordeal.
Psalm 71:20-21 "Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again and comfort me once again". We believe this for you. If there is anything we can do when you get home, just let us know. Otherwise, we will leave you alone but continue to pray for your complete healing. Love to both of you, Hugh and Linda

Pastor Aaron and Denise,
The power of prayer? Wow, I love seeing good news when I check this post. I'll continue to pray for you both tomorrow as you go through the discharge process and start making your way home. As far as this blog thing goes I think we need to keep it going and maybe change the post site name to something like: www.prayerwarriors.com or www.survivors.com or www.heavenbound.com. What do you ya'll think? Got any new site names? I know there are creative ideas flowing out there from some of you "crazo's".
See you soon! Of course, only when "Dragonlady" and the posse' give clearance.
Love ya both,
Dee and family

Aaron,

My brother, I love you. I am sure that this battle has taken a toll on you physically. However, as I told you weeks ago, I have not been overly concerned about your physical innards, which are in God's hands, as always, but rather with your "heart". Upon your return, do I expect a perfect man, who will have no more struggles either physically or spiritually? No.

When I next see you and look into your eyes, with tears in mine, I expect to see a man more in touch with the Lord God than ever before. A man that because of the storm, found the end of his rope and there found the Lord waiting for him, not to take him home or to remove the storm, but to comfort him and teach him through the storm.

I expect to see a friend and brother that has been forever changed, not because his innards have been re-routed, but rather because he has been with our Savior.

I expect to see a husband that loves his wife more now than ever before, because they have walked this path hand-in-hand with each other and our Lord.

I expect to see a pastor who now, more than ever before, understands that there are many brothers and sisters that love him, in his current and former flocks.

I don't think that I will be disappointed. You see, my expectation is not just based upon what I know about you and your character, brother, but rather because of the little bit that I know about the character of our God.

I look forward to getting a 5 second pass from the Dragon Lady to have a look to see what God has done.

Safe travels,
CWM

Dr. J & Denise,

I think the word for the day is "hope." I know that there have been feelings of helplessness during the long hours of suffering, but I trust that hopelessness never crept in.

Romans 8:28 talks about hope. It's not necessarily something we understand. It's intangible, but it's there.

"Hope is the feeling that the feeling you have isn't permanent." - Jean Kerr

So, may your drive today be filled with hope for better days. We'll pray that God clears the path home.

Jerry said "he" was an old man with a bag, and I knocked him up side his head. He may be an old man, but I certainly, while not Miss American, am not a bag.

Safe travel home,
