Day 18 8:45 p.m.

Dear prayer warriers,
Back on that roller coaster . . .
The urologist just left it was not a 'good news' visit. Aaron's residual was over 900 when they checked his bladder - Doc says damage is potentially being done to the bladder so he strongly insisted the catheter be replaced. The nurse just put it back, after pain meds, Aaron is getting easier. Please continue to pray for things to fully wake up. For some reason the bladder is just not cooperating. Doc does not 'think' this will delay 'possible' dismissal Tues. He will just have to immediately find a urologist in Atlanta.
It is really hard to not be disappointed things have gone so well today with the intebating. Once again i just don't understand. . . i hate to see him hurt.

good nite

Denise,
Stay strong and know you are both lifted up in prayer. A friend told me yesterday that following surgery, she had the same problem with her bladder not waking and it was painful and frustrating, but it did eventually become fully functional. And I know that Aaron's will also. I hope you both get some rest tonight and we will pray for the 'awakening'. Love you both, Millie

Dear Aaron and Denise,
Although this is the first time we have written, we have been thinking about you everyday. After reading your posting for today, I am reminded of a speaker I heard about a year ago. She talked about how her life had changed drastically and how now she focuses on the "new kind of normal". She had quite an inspirational story to tell and God is using her to inspire others. I know He is doing the same with the two of you. Continue to stay strong, and we will continue to pray. We can't wait to have you back again! Much Love, Bob, Erin, Mycala, Noah, Luke and Aydanne.

Dear Denise,

It is so difficult when tough times are prolonged and we can't see the sense in it. It helps sometimes to be reminded that there are other things going on behind the scenes of our life that we don't see and we kinda forget about it. Remember Job. He couldn't see the sense in his hard times either, but there was so much more going on. I always have a song stuck in my mind that I can never remember the words to, so I just hum it. today it was 'His Eye Is On The Sparrow' and the one verse I could remember (I think this is correct) might help a little:

Let not your heart be troubled
His tender word I hear
And resting on His goodness
I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth
but one step I may see
His eye is on the sparrow
and I know He watches me

Although you can't see the end of the path, He is watching and in His perfect timing He will step in and mend all that is not yet mended. Until then we will continue to glorify Him with our prayers. We miss you both and will continue to pray for you.

Julie

My Father was recently diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma and will be having his entire right kidney removed within the next 4 weeks. His urologist is located in Marietta, Dr.Thomas Chun.

Dear Lord,
Please heal Pastor A's bladder and prevent any further damage. Please bless Denise with peace and an added measure of strength for this journey. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Alright I have finally broke down and decided to write you. We have lifted you up daily and bathed you and Denise in prayer. As I was praying the other day I started laughing because I was thinking of an explosion. For all others reading this, when I was in high school Aaron was my youth pastor. We decided to have a youth rally at my school, we called it youth explosion. We built props out of plywood and 2 x 4's. Aaron gave me a gernade and said it was just a simulated gernade that the army praticed with and it would just make a loud noise. On the first night Aaron is giving the grand introduction in our auditorium, on the stage with all the props. When he says the word(explosion)I am back stage supposed to drop the gernade in a metal garbage can. So the moment arrives, he says the word, I pull the pin and drop the
"fake" gernade. I can honestly say my life flashed before my eyes. The gernade was so powerful it blew the whole stage down, one of the chairs went through the plywood, pens were found all over the room. There in that moment I am on my knees beside the garabage can, blinded from the flash of light, deaf for weeks with ringing in my ears, with the stage completely blown over from the force. Aaron is looking at me with the look of what did you do. All I could think was it's fake, it's fake, yea right. I can honestly say it started with an explosion. I love you brother and would do anything for you. I firmly believe that any man's finest hour - his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear - is that moment when he has to work his heart out in a good cause and he's exhausted on the field of life - victorious." This is part of a Vince Lombardi saying(one of the finest men and football coaches). When I read this I think of you, because whatever you do in life you do it with passion. I know this is long but what else do you have to do.

Love b.j. and chastity

I 2nd that on Dr. Kyburz. I've literally known him since I was under 1 year old. If ya gotta go somewhere, he's a great one to go too! Hopefully things will fully wake up before then & you won't have too. But just in case here's his number if you want to get him an appointment set up before you get back...(770) 428-4475. Marietta Urology is located on Witcher St, behind the hospital.

Sleep tight.
