Day 18 11:35 p.m.

Yes we are still up!! and Aaron is not a pumpkin! We are awaiting the last intubation for the night - and the Lord continues to bless. The nurse just came in and said you have a phone call. It was Peggy, the nurse we told you about. She is in Boston with her mom that is probably dieing. She called to check on Aaron and to say, 'don't worry, it's gonna be ok.'

Thank you for holding me up when i falter,

nise

P.S. i publish my post, realize there is another post and i read B.J.'s words - you made him smile, thank you!! - but he said, "we don't need to tell everything we know - love you man!"

Heavenly Father,
We praise you for how you are working through this situation that Pastor Aaron and Denise are going through. We praise You for who You are and for what You are doing in so many different ways through this trial that they face. We have faith that the sorrows will not be in vain and there is a purpose for everything. We praise you in the storms of life and know that after the storm comes the rainbow. Please give Pastor Aaron complete healing and strength to endure what he is facing. Also, give Denise peace and comfort. Show them Your glory!
In Jesus' name we pray,
Amen

Starting Monday off with prayer, I hope Sunday concluded well.

Thought I'd point you at a new (to me) poem that is convicting and beautiful at the same time:
A Call to Revival - Michael Brown

Prayers continue,

I am confused by your post. Am I supposed to be asleep already? It's not quite time for bed yet :)

Still praying for you guys. Standing by with blender on hot stand-by (hopefully not needed).

I thought of you as I read Psalm 22 this morning:

My God, my God, why have you abandoned me? Why are you so far away when I groan for help? Every day I call to you, my God, but you do not answer. Every night you hear my voice, but I find no relief. Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.
Our ancestors trusted in you, and you rescued them. They cried out to you and were saved. They trusted in you and were never disgraced. v 1-5

Even when we can't feel Him or see Him He is there - He knows what is happening and He is working in you and through you. And He is going to get this bladder thing straightened out.

Our prayers continue, and we hope today brings less pain, more healing and all systems go. Love, Russ Sandy & Rin

Hi Aaron and Denice:
Sorry to hear you had to have the catheter replaced. We will be praying that your bladder is NOT damaged and will wake up SOON. Everyone is asking me about you and sends their love and prayers your way.

God be with you,
Aunt Joyce

We love you and want only for Christ to sustain and fill your heart.

Psalm 40
1 I waited patiently for the Lord;
he inclined to me and heard my cry.
2 He drew me up from the pit of destruction,
out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock,
making my steps secure.
3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear,
and put their trust in the Lord.
4 Blessed is the man who makes
the Lord his trust,
who does not turn to the proud,
to those who go astray after a lie!
5 You have multiplied, O Lord my God,
your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us;
none can compare with you!
I will proclaim and tell of them,
yet they are more than can be told.
6 In sacrifice and offering you have not delighted,
but you have given me an open ear.
Burnt offering and sin offering
you have not required.
7 Then I said, “Behold, I have come;
in the scroll of the book it is written of me:
8 I delight to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart.”
9 I have told the glad news of deliverance [2]
in the great congregation;
behold, I have not restrained my lips,
as you know, O Lord.
10 I have not hidden your deliverance within my heart;
I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation;
I have not concealed your steadfast love and your faithfulness
from the great congregation.
11 As for you, O Lord, you will not restrain
your mercy from me;
your steadfast love and your faithfulness will
ever preserve me!
12 For evils have encompassed me
beyond number;
my iniquities have overtaken me,
and I cannot see;
they are more than the hairs of my head;
my heart fails me.
13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me!
O Lord, make haste to help me!
14 Let those be put to shame and disappointed altogether
who seek to snatch away my life;
let those be turned back and brought to dishonor
who delight in my hurt!
15 Let those be appalled because of their shame
who say to me, “Aha, Aha!”
16 But may all who seek you
rejoice and be glad in you;
may those who love your salvation
say continually, “Great is the Lord!”
17 As for me, I am poor and needy,
but the Lord takes thought for me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
do not delay, O my God!

He does not tarry, delivers sweet succor in His own timing. We pray for that sweetness and strength for you and your bride now. He will be faithful to deliver, just as you have been faithful to glorify.

...still praying. I'm sorry that complications keep arising. Not only will we continue to pray for progress of your system, Pastor, but we will keep praying for you, Denise as you watch your husband hurt. That is one of the most difficult things to do. We would always rather have the pain ourselves than to watch them suffer. Find comfort in remembering that God is in control and he will deliver you.

Since B.J. mentioned the explosion... Glad you were not hurt..

I have thought about your impact on that generation of youth. It was GREAT!

I look back over the years of your ministry with them at FBC Boaz.. and the years after your calling to other fields of service...

There are way to many youth to list here, you remember them, several have posted here. They are now adults many are serving in churches some as laity and several are now serving as staff of churches. Aaron you planted seeds that are impacting their lives in ways you may not realize...

As a parent of one of those youth thanks for that explosion...it was well worth it.

Love you guys and my prayers continue.

Hey...

Sorry I haven't posted lately, but I have been keeping up with the blog.

I am so happy for the progress that has been achieved. I pray that your bladder will wake up soon! I can only imagine how ready you both are to get home!

Yes, you did impact many youth in Boaz! Me included! I pray that my children will have a youth minister that loves them and preaches the word to them in the way you did for us! Those were great times for me! A while back you mentioned the foot washing...I remember you having a hand washing ceremony for us. That was so humbling! I also remember the snow skiing trip to Boone, NC. Boy what a bus ride down the ice covered roads....!!!

Thanks for keeping us posted!

Love you both!

P.S. Our sweet Taylor was baptized yesterday! It was such an awesome feeling to see our baby girl become our sister in Christ!

And Hey...for those of us that don't know, can you mention where your kids are now and what they are doing? Thanks!
