Day 16.1 post I

All,
Sick guy again. DOXOLOGY!!!
Many of you may not know the Doxology, so here it is:
Praise God from whom all blessing flow,
Praise Him all creatures here below.
Praise Him above ye heavenly host.
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
AMEN

Things here seem to be coming on line after a 16 day vacation. Actually it was more like the system went AWOL. Regardless, the return is more welcome than you can imagine.

We are facing a bit of a set-back today. For the first time in many days, I am having a bout of nausea. They think i am dehydrated and in need of fluids. One of the four lines in my "main-line" is clogged. They fear an infection and want to remove it. My veins are a wreck from the months of chemo five years ago and they must have a line. It looks like I will head back to surgery today for removal and replacement of the line. The line is located on my upper right chest. The line is deep into my sub-clavian vein. This is not a procedure you want to be awake for.

Denise will let you know the outcome.

Thanks for all your love and prayers. I am a debtor to the world.
Blessings,
PA

Hey, I know the Doxology, but then I'm a saved Methodist. ;-)

Sorry to hear about the "extra" surgery. We'll keep praying.

Morning Hate to hear about a bad day. Since you loke poetry thought I would share one to muse over during the curcumstances.I wrote it years ago for someone faceing tough times.

The Shadows of Love

Love tries to grasp illusions,
Ever reaching out for dreams;
Always pushing the realities
Out of its way it seems.

Sometimes love is blinded
By its own brilliant light;
And the shadows seek the darkness
As love stumbles through the night.

Sometimes in desperation
Love tries to conqure all,
Mindless of the shadows
Ever lurking on the wall.

Till suddenly love is shaken
And it stands there all alone;
Reality is awakened
And all the dreams are gone.

The illusions are all shattered
And the darkness rears its head,
The shadows all rush forth
Crying, “love is dead”.

Yet love can never die
It’s only made to see,
That the shadows are understanding
And the darkness reality.

So one must always have them,
For with love they walk hand in hand;
That it might not be blinded
But always understand.

Dear Aaron and Denise, Just read about the new procedure that you are going to have to go though today. So sorry, we will pray that God will guide the Doctors who are working on this. I hope they can give you a pain shot to lessen the discomfort. Will be praying for you all day.
Love you all, Linda and Hugh

I hate to hear about your setback, but I do know it didn't catch God off-guard. Praying for peace and protection.

On the upside, glad to see that things are waking up as they should.

God's blessings on both of you today. May His peace hold Denise in the palm of His hand, and may His hands guide the surgeon's and bring healing.

Mother Goose poems are the most advanced poems that I ever desired to read.

Pat-a-Cake, pat-a-Cake, baker's man, Bake me a cake as fast as you can. Roll it, and pat it, and mark it with an A, And put in the oven for Nise and me.

Rain, rain, go away
Come again another Day,
Little Aaron wants to play.

Aaron and Nise went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water;
Aaron fell down and broke his rump,
and Jill came tumbling after.

As you can see, my poems are deep.
Glad to hear that the removal and insertion of a new central line seemed to go well. You sure have been wired, gosh, you might even pick up DSL through all those lines.
God has great delight in us as stated in Rev. 4:11 ----We were created for His pleasure. I believe that God is also reading this blog and smiling.
Rest---
