day 2 of my new life

All,
Sick guy here.
Doctor visit was both wonderful and painful. The painful part was right before and after I failed the test...............again. Mr. Foley and i are going be long term partners. I go back next Wednesday for another test. I will study much harder this week. We are not going to press the "Panic" button until then. If another failure comes, they we have to look at some less than desirable alternatives.
The wonderful part was the doc. Dr. Rutland was fantastic! We shared our faith with each other and he asked to pray for me before he left the room. In his prayer he said,"Lord Jesus, do what only you can do; heal this man." That wasn't all of the prayer, but that is what touched these ears. A physician who acknowledges that healing is in the hand of God and not man. I am in debt to Henry Head for recommending him. And by the way; so do I!!
After the visit to the doc, we went by the church to speak to the heroes of Summit. Please let all of them know what a great job they are doing.
Lee is preaching a very special sermon this Sunday. Trust me, you don't want to miss this. Please make every effort possible to come. If you have unchurched friends, this will be the perfect Sunday to bring them. You will just have to trust me on this one. Pray for Lee as he prepares for Sunday.
We will be seeing you soon!

We will second that about Dr. Rutland (and the whole office for that matter). He has been great for our family. Glad you are home and able to be "vertical". Hope last night was restful for you both.

We love you guys,

Aaron and Denise, I'm sorry foley is still around, but what a great assurance that the doctor is praying for you. When I had my "gut" surgery last year that was what got me through - knowing that Dr. Issis believed and praised Jesus for his abilities. So glad to hear you are home.

We missed you at the class reunion, but it is all on tape. Hopefully you will receive a DVD soon displaying your classmates craziness. We all love you and pray for you.

Denise, I know your caring is not over yet, but be strong and let others help you. From reading this blog there are some great people in Summit who will ease your load.

Love,
Tricia

I will claim the Bilical promise of two or more being in agreement, and join Dr. Rutland in asking the Lord to heal you. Isn't home wonderful? God bless........

Isn't Mr. Foley the grocery store owner on Andy Griffith? He has no business here. Send him back to Mayberry.

Glad you're home and under the care of a brother in Christ. Our prayers continue for complete healing.

Corinne says 'Good afternoon and welcome home, and that I'm combing my hair now and I want to play a game on the computer'. Gotta love that train of thought.

Love, the Smiths

Brother,

I was so happy to drive by and see your car sitting in your driveway last night. Glad to have you guys back!

God can use anyone he pleases to accomplish His will, even unbelieving unrepentant enemies of the kingdom, just as He did with Egypt and the children of Israel. However, it is so sweet when God chooses to touch us through the hands of a brother or sister whom He put in the right place at just the right time, as with you and the Doc in St. Pete and now here.

Surely God has ordered your steps, numbered your days from beginning to eternity, and counted the hairs on your head (though that probably doesn't take as long now as it once did ;} ). We will continue to pray.

Blessings,
CWM

We are continuing to pray for you. Awesome that your Doctor prays with you & shares our Faith. You are in great hands, because, God has you right where he wants you & will heal you in His time. Until then, I will continue to pray for you & Denise.

Would love to help you guys out anyway that I can. Denise if you think of something (a meal, etc) please let me know. I know he's limited on what he can eat, but I'll bring whatever you need!

PS: Christy & Mark - loved that knock knock - sounded like Weslee. I was crackin' up!

Glad you have been surrounded by people you love so dearly. God has truly carried you through his faithful servants. Never in my life have I seen such a ralley of the saints. To be in your castle with your bride, has to feel like the first frost of fall. I know that is one of your favorite things. There is no doubt, you will be healed. The blessings have just begun. Our prayers will continue. Can't wait to see you both.
