I'm so proud of you two. God is so amazing. Denise you are truly a remarkable woman. Pastor, you're not half bad either:) -Nina
It is times like these when we are to "Be still and know...."
It is hard to do, but He is patient with us. Keep smile on your face and a song in your heart.

Aaron and Denise,
Just learned of this blog and so glad that we did. Thanks for posting and keeping us informed. We will be praying for you both. Please know that you are very special to us and that we love you very much!

Hey Denise,
As you and I have discussed many times we may never know the whys. I keep thinking about my mama, and how one of her nurses did not have a relationship with Christ - until she met my mom and saw something different in her. I just know that anyone who sees you guys is going to see something different in y'all too. You're amazing together! Hang in there! You're in our thoughts all day long!
Much Love, Robynne & Boys (all 3)
Aaron this is your old friend Mark Ebersold. Just found out about you. I thought I would never hear from you again but am heavy hearted to hear of your surgery. Thanks to Lauren Cox and the FBC choir (which sang at the church I am Interim Pastor, Central Park BC, Decatur)they told me about you and your family. As you so often asked me in my days in the valley, I want to ask you "What can I do for you?" I know I can pray and my entire family will pray for you EVERYDAY till ya'll pass through this valley. Really miss your fellowship and just want to say Phil. 1:3 is for you. Tina is beautiful as ever, Ryan,22, will graduate from Alabama this fall and Clay and Kelsey, 19, enter Alabama this fall as freshmen. Be assured of all our prayers for you. Clay has a tattoo on his arm in greek that says Phillipians 4:13. HIS strength will carry you through!
Mark
God is so amazing. He is so great! He has a plan...a GOOD plan..and a purpose for everything and everyone. Denise, your words from Jerimiah 29:11 set me to singing this song and I wanted to share it with you both. He is clothed in majesty. The earth trembles at His voice. Time is in His hands...and so are we!
So, here is the link. You can watch and/or sing along on YouTube:

How Great is our God Words and Lyrics by Chris Tomlin
The splendor of a King, clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
All the earth rejoice
He wraps himself in Light, and darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice
Trembles at His voice
How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
Age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the end
Beginning and the end
The Godhead Three in One
Father Spirit Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb
Name above all names
Worthy of our praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God
How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
Love you both and still praying,
Tamie
I know I should not be amazed, but I am. The harder things get for you, the more you can praise God. You are so special to me and to so many and when this has past, we will all praise God together for his wonderful grace.
I love you both,
Millie

Well I will try again!! I can never get my post to work. I have really had you guys on my mind today. You gave us such support during a very dark time. Jimmy and the kids are on an Aaron type of trip right now. The have rafted on the Colorado, hiked to Emerald Lake, and tonight are watching the Dodgers and the Rockies. know that you are in our prayers!

You guys are so special to us and we are loving praying for you constantly all day long! The boys and I check the blog every morning and every evening together to get the updates and know what else to pray for. They are fervent prayer warriors on your behalf (as are Mark and I). We love you guys so much. I know that we don't always understand God's order, but I am so thankful that you are resting in His orchestration! What an awesome God we serve!! Miss you bunches.

Dear Pastor Aaron and Denise, It is about my bedtime but wanted to get a word out to you before the day ended. Hang in there, those "plumbing" problems take a while to start back up. Hope you both get some sleep tonight. Praying that the discomfort will be short lived. God is leading you both moment by moment, minute by minute, hour by hour and you will see changes a little at a time when He reveales them to you in his time. I know it is best that we do not know the future but waiting is not a strong point for most of us. Love you and continue to pray for your improvement each day. Love, Linda Ward
Jer. 29:11 is one of our favorites. We still have to remember that what we want is not always what God wants (or at least in OUR timing). Obviously, God still has plans for someone through all of this. Praise God for Aaron and his being found faithful to deliver the message. As a good friend says often, "Oh, what a Saviour". Praying for a good nights sleep. The rest will come in time. Dan says to think about waterfalls?!?!
Love, Kathy (and the rest of us)
Bro. Aaron and Denise,
Why is it I can read no matter what Denise posts and smile as though I hear your voices? We continue to pray for comfort and healing! I find myself checking the blog several times a day and so grateful to hear updates. We love you & will keep praying for continued progress!

I just want you to know that my family and I are all praying for your speedy recovery, and I have asked all our friends and relatives to put you on the prayer lists at thier home churches too.
You are so awesome and inspiring and you have such a way of reaching people with your message, that I am sure there is a reason you have been sent there, some one there needs you so we must be patient until you return, know that you are missed. Many times your sermons speak to things that were heavy on my mind on that very day and I wonder how you knew,
I will continue to pray for you everyday !
Jeff
Aaron and Denise,
I visited a friend in the hospital today and used many of the tips you taught me last February. It is such a blessing to know you both and to be discipled in such a godly way.
What's that vese say, "He'll use most things for good...?" no, no, no, no, He'll use ALL things for good to those that love him. Prayers continue.

Good morning Johnsons! We continue to pray that each day gets better and better, and that AJ's systems will get jump started. Praying for strength, encouragement and healing.
It blesses our hearts to see all of the love and prayers expressed in these comments. You both are loved immensely.
Bad news on the Mt. Dew - I've checked with all of the leading medical experts and scientists and (GASP) Diet Mt. Dew has no medicinal qualities and CANNOT be substituted for IV solution. I am horrified and disappointed...
We love you, Russ & Sandy
...but I bet if you backflowed some up that Foley his bladder would start working...
I just want to say thank you again for letting us be a part of this through your journaling! ( I do not like the word blog :)) I am just amazed how God uses you both to encourage and teach us... in a hospital room miles away!
I pray the night went well!
God Bless!
Traci and Jeff
Many of us gathered at the altar last night to lift you and your family up in prayer. I'm thinking they may need to widen the "narrow path" a little with so many people coming to the throne.
I was reading Blackaby's book Spiritual Leadership last night and he made the statement that "Leaders cannot take their people into a relationship with Christ that goes deeper than they have gone themselves." Thank you, thank both of you for showing us what deep relationship looks like.
In a world where the bar is so often lowered, it's a blessing to see the Johnsons keeping the bar high. Love you guys. Our prayers are unceasing.
Hi Pastor Aaron and Denise,
I do hope that today brings the progress needed to reduce the discomfort. When the two of you hurt, everyone who loves you hurts. Fortunately, the Great Physician is in control and loves you more than we can comprehend. His love endures forever. Sunshine is just ahead; I know it.
We think so much of you!
