Day 12 - 7:30 a.m.

Friends,
Good morning and it is a good morning! We were up early, have already had a 'bath' i use that term 'loosely', but i will say the bath room floor is clean when we are done. Haha!!

Jamil, one of our favorite nurses, he works nights, took the catheter out this morning. So we, or i should say Aaron's bladder, is on the clock again. So once again i ask for prayer for his bladder. Doc said last night labs show no sign of infection, but it will be today before we know about the culture. We will let you know.
By six o'clock this morning Aaron's tummy had that 'hole' in it and breakfast doesn't come till about 7:30 a.m. So Lori you will be proud to know i got outside this morning; to make an early run for breakfast!! McDonald's is just down the road! yum, yum!!
Please pray things kick in soon!!! We do not like the options!!
Have a great day!!

Brother Aaron and Denise,
You are the perfect example of a couple that loves the Lord, adores each other and you continue to inspire by the faith you have in Christ. I am so lucky to know you both and I know that God has special plans for you and that Aaron will be even stronger in every way than before. Aaron you are a tremendous role model in my life even though I don't get to see you often. When you and Denise drove by me and Becky walking our dogs....that made our week. Aaron, you are one of my favorite people in the whole world and words can not describe how much your family means to me. I have personally grown and learned so much from you and I respect your views. I will be praying for you and I know you will be fine especially with Denise as your side-kick. Love always,
Staley Jackson

Hi guys- We Praise the Lord for all the wonderful blessings the Lord has brought to and through you both. If we in Athens ever wondered if others appreciate you as much as we did (and do), we don't any more. Clearly you are loved by your church family, and it warms are hearts to know that you are treasured. We love you too. Continued prayers and love - Jamie P.S. We are getting ready to take Lauren to Auburn...War Eagle!

Wow... ya'll have been busy with the blogging today! I love it!

Aaron, it is good to read your words again brother. I miss our conversations and your teaching, and look forward to your healthy return.

Thank you both for granting us the priviledge of praying for you in specifics and ministering to you from afar through the blog. Also, thank you for helping us get to know you better through the comments from those you have touched in your journey; we have seen a glimpse of the heritage of faith, love, and ministry that by God's grace you have sewn along the way.

Aaron, the Toymaker isn't finished with you yet...He's just doing a little whittling on the crusty weathered exterior to let the Jesus that's on the inside shine through a just little bit more clearly than before.

Denise, we knew before that you love Aaron, but what a beautiful example of a faithful Godly wife and helpmate you are showing! Indeed, the older women are instructed to teach the younger women by their words, and as you are, by their actions. (Ok... I'm not saying that you're old... just older than me and Missy...just a little bit... ok, you have more life experience than we do... ok... I'll stop digging my hole now.. :]

Brother, you have a YOUNG, beautiful, Godly wife! (did I mention young?) :]

We'll continue praying.

Sleep well,
CWM

Just had to give you these words to a tremendous song Joe Zieglar had our choir sing. I liked it so much I bought it for the last church I served as Monster of Music. Enjoy...

There are moments on our journey following the Lord, Where God illumines ev’ry step we take.
There are times when circumstances make perfect sense to us, As we try to understand each move He makes.

When the path grows dim and our questions have no answers, turn to Him.

Chorus:
Bow the knee; Trust the heart of your Father when the answer goes beyond what you can see.
Bow the knee; Lift your eyes toward heaven and believe the One who holds eternity. And when you don’t understand the purpose of His plan, In the presence of the King, bow the knee.

There are days when clouds surround us, and the rain begins to fall, The cold and lonely winds won’t cease to blow. And there seems to be no reason for the suffering we feel; We are tempted to believe God does not know.
When the storms arise, don’t forget we live by faith and not by sight.

Bow the knee; Trust the heart of your Father when the answer goes beyond what you can see.
Bow the knee; Lift your eyes toward heaven and believe the One who holds eternity. And when you don’t understand the purpose of His plan, In the presence of the King, bow the knee.

Blessings,
Will Weir

Aaron and Denise,
I am finding it hard to sleep tonight, but I pray you are both resting peacefully. It's past midnight and about 90 degrees in my house (no a/c), but I thank God for the roof over my head, my wonderful family, and a church family that truly loves and cares for one another. Pastor, you live out before us such a Godly example of fatih, hope, and love. Others have mentioned how crossing paths with you has changed their lives. The McGullions feel the same. It is an honor to petition the Father on your behalf. I pray you feel the love of the Father who created you for His glory! He has to be pleased with what He sees! The Lord isn't finished with you yet, but I have no doubt that "well done good and faithful servant" is what you'll hear when you stand before Him on that glorious day when all the saints are called heavenward!

This hymn is one of my favorites. I pray it fills you with joy and peace:
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels, descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest,
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.
Blessings,
S.

Aaron and Denise,
Thanks so much for posting regular updates. With the busy-ness of the wedding, honeymoon off the coast of Belize (which I recommend highly) and spending the last week playing catch up, I have just had a chance to read the last week and a half worth of updates. I completely understand the 'roller coaster' syndrome. Those days are soon to pass and there will be more ups than downs. We prayed for you both for days before the surgery and managed to get one update from abroad. We will continue to do so until the day of your return, as well for our sister Beth. As I laugh and cry with each message I read, I am humbled by how blessed I truly am to be a part of such sweet fellowship. Far more than I deserve. I am touched by the passion that the two of you have for one another and look forward to sharing the same with my new groom. God's blessings to you, Darryl and Carin Norton

Still praying here...do hope you got a bit more sleep than I last night. Denise, Andrew and Caleb are with the grandparents part of this week...know they missed your Sunday School class. Andrew, Mary, and I are planning to go with the Senior Adults to the Creation Museum in Nov. They're in for it, aren't they???
Love,
Luci (for the rest of the Galloway's)

Read the following this a.m. and KNEW you could relate.

Written by Oswald Chambers, from My Utmost for His Highest

“Do you see Jesus in your clouds?”

Behold, He is coming with clouds…Rev. 1:7

In the Bible clouds are always associated with God. Clouds are the sorrows, sufferings, and providential circumstances, within or without our personal lives, which actually seem to contradict the sovereignty of God. Yet it is through these very clouds that the Spirit of God is teaching us how to walk by faith. If there were never any clouds in our lives, we would have no faith. “The clouds are the dust of His feet” (Nahum 1:3). They are a sign that God is there. What a revelation it is to know that sorrow, bereavement, and suffering are actually the clouds that come along with God! God cannot come near us without clouds- He does not come in clear-shining brightness.

It is not true to say that God wants to teach us something in our trials. Through every cloud He brings our way, He wants us to UNLEARN something. His purpose in using the cloud is to simplify our beliefs until our relationship with Him is exactly like that of a child- a relationship simply between God and our own souls, and where other people are but shadows to us…Until we can come face to face with the deepest, darkest fact of life without damaging our view of God’s character, we do not yet know Him. Before I started work today I logged on to see how you guys were doing. Praise God for Aarons appetite, and I'm glad McDonald's is close by. YUM!
I'm praying for a working bladder today.
I guess I will start working now, but you will be in my prayers as well as the young lady.

Love you guys,

Teresa

You know you are hungry when McDonald's is "yum yum". Of course, this 'snobbery' comes from a man whose sophisticated taste buds think fine dining consists of scattered and covered hash browns.

WAKE UP BLADDER!! just thought I'd sneak that in there. Praise God from whom all blessings FLOW!!!!!! And God, we mean FLOW PLEASE!

Love you guys, the Smiths

Good Morning to you!

Continuing to pray for you both, but especially Aaron's bladder today! :)

I've been listening to some of your sermons from the church website, and I must say...you only get better with age! Good picture, too! Of course it has been a while since we were blessed to have you with us.... (I believe around 18 years..?) We will just have to load up and come to Acworth and visit when you are at it again! We have been everywhere else to visit you, at least once! :)

We miss you guys, but can tell from all the posts, that your Summit church family knows how special you both are and realizes how blessed they are to have you. Seems like they are doing a great job of loving you too! But then again, that is so easy to do! :)

Thanks for all the posts! It is wonderful to hear of your daily progress....

Hope today continues to be great!
Andy and 'Jennifer' Jones

P.S. I know it is 'Roy' that is the smartest person you know! ha-ha! :) Oh, and he is still one of the last real men!

Go bladder, GO! I have been reading where people have commented on getting to know you better through this blog and have come to the determination that is an understatement. We are now cheering on your bladder! I think it is great! I am honored and blessed to be a part of your lives. We are continuing to pray for a speedy recovery.
Denise, getting out is great but going to McDonalds seems to make it an oxymoron!
We love you both,
Lori and the boys!

We are praying that your body cooperates today & they can keep the cath. out.

Ok, you REALLY need to watch that movie about McDonalds, called Supersize Me.

Although Rus does like the occassional Varsity & maybe breakfast at Mickey D's - after watching this movie, he won't eat McDonalds for anything.

In fact, when I called him to help me recall the name of the movie, he said, "Oh no, tell them, he'll end up back in surgery if he eats there." Do you have a DVD player or VCR in your room? Rus wants you to watch it if you haven't already.

Many prayers for you both. Have a blessed day!

Master Aaron & Denise,
Greetings from the beautiful bluegrass land of KY. WE MISS YOU!
We are praying for strength and healing (Col 1: 9-11); but also that God's perfect will be accomplished through the process. God is so very much interested and involved in the "process."
It has been such a joy to see the outpouring of love and unity of God's people/your flock! Thank you for sharing your heart and allowing us to share in the ups and downs and to minister to you.
Mike & Trish
