Day one - after surgery

Well, they were right . . . last night was really tough. Much, much pain and nausea, but the night is over and he will not have to go through "that" night again. The staff at the hospital are all wonderful! They are taking excellent care of him. Praise God!
He looks great, his color is great, and medically he is good. He just has to get through the recovery. As Jordan keeps saying, "all we got to do is tell him a Marine did it in 'such and such' and he will beat it!!" And he will!!
As you read from the post he is being prayed for around the globe. Thanks again for all the prayers! We love you all!

Denise, I hope the worse is over and it will all go well from here. I am praying for all of you since I know how hard it is to sit in a hospital and watch someone you love in pain. Keep the faith, God loves you and I love you.

Hey, preacher, I thought since you were in the hospital you might want to know what the doctor's were talking about when they were around, so I've put together a few words and their meanings you probably need to know.

Dilate - to live long!
Barium - what doctors do when patients die.
Urine- opposite of you're out.

Praise God that the surgery went well. The prayers will continue through the hard days ahead. Aaron's a good old Alabama boy so he's tougher than anything they can throw at him. We pray that each day, each hour gets just a bit easier. We love you - Dragon Lady, et al! I pray for peace and rest for you. Love! Lynn

Denise,

I'm glad to hear that everything went so well and that Aaron's pain, at least in part, has subsided. Kathryn wanted to pray for "big Aaron who's sick in the hospital" last night at bedtime. I asked her what she wanted to ask God to do, and she said "make him well." That's my prayer too.

Pastor,

We offered up many thanks in Worship Rally this morning on your behalf! We serve a great big God who is able to do so much more than we deserve or could ever ask of Him! We are thankful you are doing so well. Praying you recover and return to us soon!

Blessings,
Sonya and all the kids at VBS!

VBS hasn't been the same without the both of you. I thought of Pastor Aaron today as I ran from little Luke W. as he was chasing me and squirting me with my water gun at Recreation time. I remembered how you let him use your "mega blaster" gun last year as he was in a halo from his serious and painful surgery. To look at him now reminds me of God's healing power and know the same will be for our shepherd. We are all praying for you and can't wait to have you both return soon.
God bless,
Raleigh, Dee and family
