post op day 15.5 post II

All,
Today has been good physically. We are still in a delima over the uncooperative bladder. It will work when God wills it to work. Until then we wait.

About an hour ago the mail person came by our room. This time it took three people and a cart. Among all the special deliveries were a few that brought us both to tears.
The McQuade family sent two boxes of boxes. The McQuade children sent a very special care package for me on my mission trip to the hospital. They used their own "God Money" to purchase a number of stuffed toys. They made get well cards and asked me to hand them and the toys out to others while i was here. WOW. The other box contained a "foot washing" for my bride! Never have i seen her so moved. She wept. They also included a gift for our new friend Beth. We took her the gift as soon as we received it. It was the first time i had seen her walking.

The Templeton box held all sorts of goodies. Among the treasures therein were two pictures of modern day super heroes. I am not sure if i can post the names, but in real life they are Noah and Nicholas. They also included a Hot Wheel. Not just any hot wheel now, it was a '69 GTO convertible! Now that is what i am talking about!

Thanks to the Perez family Denise has all she needs for a candle lit dinner will all the accoutrements.

Jimmy came by today and brought a bundle of cards. I enjoyed our visit and the report from Ukraine.

Folks, you have blessed us beyond our ability to receive. Thanks for everything.

We feel a lot of love here..............................except from the folks in the mail room.

Blessings
PA & NISE

Hi Pastor Aaron and Mrs. Denise! This is Tori. I'm hoping I am still the first comment by the time I get finished with this! I'm glad you are feeling better, and you need to come back soon, partly because Carson and I decided that we aren't going to get married until you return. And my dad won't let us anyway, but that's beside the point. I will keep praying for you both!

Wow you 2 really are amazing.

Last night at Robbie's football practice, I REALLY realized something...we have a purpose, especially in youth ball. I've not been looking forward to it, like Robbie & Rus have. Probaby because of course I do NOT like to be hot & sweaty & I have to run the "Taxi", wash the NASTY practice clothes & keep Weslee occupied during hot, steamy practices, & try to keep him awake til we get home.

All that aside, God showed me last night, what I do have to look forward too & that he can make it better & not quite so dreadful for me! That is by Prasing God for the opportunity to plant a seed in someone else’s life, praying for every kid out there. What made me come to this realization – The two of you, enduring everything that you’re going through right now. You’ve not complained, you’ve just taken it, as it’s been given to you.

Phillipians 2:14-15 Do everything without grumbling and arguing, so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God who are faultless in a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine like stars in the world.

Thank you both again for sharing daily & being such a testimony with your lives!

Do they make an aftermarket bladder? As Lane said, I don't think so many have ever prayed for a bladder before!

It is wonderful that you've found ministry opportunities there in your affliction, it sounds like God had a plan all along. Make sure your nurse knows that you love her, but more importantly that Christ loves her; at worst you'll heap coals on her head, at best you'll have a daughter of the King as your nurse for the rest of your stay.

What an unexpected blessing this blog has been to learn such intimate and wonderful thing about the members of our church, both Summit and the katholik one.

Prayers continue,
Canyon

Hi Aaron! It's your favorite "middle-row sitters", the Fales'. This is the first time we've gotten to post, but have thoroughly enjoyed reading all the others and look forward to yours daily. Of course the first one you actually posted yourself brought me to tears and once again reaffirmed to me what an awesome pastor you are. That you can communicate in the way you do and make the points you do in the midst of the haze of meds, pain, etc., is .... I'm not sure there's a great enough word to describe it.

We have been praying for you every day. For recovery to come, for continued peace and understanding. Although I have to say that I never thought I'd be praying for my pastor to "pee".... ;-) But hey, whatever it takes!

Moreover, how are your feet? ha! I know you had had issues with Plantars Faciitis (sp?). Guess it's hard for your feet to have too many issues when you aren't on them a lot. Hoping and praying all that changes soon for you.

Continue getting better and know that we joyously await your return!

Hi Pastor and Denise! It is such a blessing to read about the progress you make each day, and the grace with which you handle such a difficult situation.
Denise, I had a nice (but exhausting) day with your brother the other day, cutting down some trees in my backyard. It is amazing that he is in better shape than my kids (their words!)
We miss you! My prayer is that the Power that raised Jesus from the dead will awaken your bladder, and the Peace that allowed Jesus to sleep on the boat in the midst of a storm will guard your hearts in a way that is beyond your comprehension!
With Jesus' wonderful love,
Tom & Ramona

Pastor and Denise,

Look at the bladder problem in another way: maybe God wants you to wait until you get back to Georgia before the bladder fully functions seeing as how we're in a drought up here and I have corn in my backyard that needs watering. Blessings on the corn in a different way. That'll be some corn! Miss you guys. Nobody to call me names lately.

You're both in our prayers everyday.
Blessings,

Joy Carroll

Remind me if we have a potluck not to eat Joy's corn!!!

Oh, you are making my kids days! They love knowing that you are enjoying the knock knock jokes as much as they are enjoying figuring out which one to send you each day.

Today has been the hardest day so far to figure out just which one is the right one. They are really taking this seriously :) We went through about 60 tonight before the boys both agreed on "the perfect one". Again, who knew that knock knock jokes could make Mark and I laugh as much as they have!!

Knock Knock

Who's There?

Mommy

Mommy Who?

You don't know who your mommy is?!!

(Oh, the boys are dying laughing right now!)

As always, we love you and are more than ready for our Acworth parents to come home :)

Denise you guys have got to get back before it starts cooling down because I am in serious need of new fall clothes (and you know I have no idea what I am doing on my own) :)

Miss ya tons

As always, your blogs bring a blessing. And it is amazing the blessings I get each day from all the comments others post. I will miss reading them when this has past and we don't blog each day, but I will take having you home and well over blogs any day. Since it seems we have this as a sight for jokes, thought you would enjoy this one about a pastor.
The young couple invited their elderly pastor for Sunday dinner. While they were in the kitchen
preparing the meal, the minister asked their son what they were having.
'Goat,' the little boy replied.
'Goat?' replied the startled man of the cloth, 'Are you sure about that?'
'Yep,' said the youngster. 'I heard Dad say to Mom,'Today is just as good as any to have the old goat for dinner.''

Love you both,
Millie

Pastor Aaron and Denise,
I couldn't resist leaving a joke I ran across today since everyone else is. I can't believe my sister left the one about the Gummy Bear. She loves the FISH junior joke off and has to tell everyone the best one for the day. Anyways, here it is:
Three boys are in the school yard bragging about their fathers. The first boy says, 'My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a poem, they give him $50.'
The second boy says, 'That's nothing. My Dad scribbles a few words on piece of paper, he calls it a song, they give him $100.'
The third boy says, 'I got you both beat. My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a sermon, and it takes eight people to collect all the money!
Sorry, I couldn't resist. I'll leave the rest of the jokes for the Traylor kids to do. They're doing a pretty good job picking some good knock knock jokes.
Love ya both,
Dee and family
