Hey guys,
Sleep - wonderful sleep. Thank you Jesus! We both got a good nights sleep last night, 4-5 hours - (for a hospital room that's amazing!) . They gave Aaron a sleeping aid (clamped his G -tube so he could absorb it) and it worked! Thanks for the prayers for sleep.
Got another specific request - his digestive system is having a little hard time waking up - same as last time. They are not 'concerned' yet but it needs to wake pretty soon. He is walking really as much as they want him to and he is up in the chair also. Movement is really the only thing he can do to help it wake up and he is doing his part. Might need a little 'Devine' help.
He got the Foley out this morning - one day early!!! woo hoo - that made him really happy. So we are down to 4 drains to go! The rest will be in for another 9 days or so.
We got mail twice today (and it is only noon). The second delivery came on a cart . . . the little guy who brought is was impressed . . . he thinks Aaron already has the record! haha Hallmark is really happy!! Thanks for all the love, i read every card and note to him. (Geil's the pictures were a great reminder of a great week! )
Todays 2nd delivery came at a really perfect time - the first card i opened read, 'Come meet the God of encouragement. He never gives up on you, especially when life is hard, because He has been there. The hand that reaches out to comfort you is a pierced one.' max lucado
Aaron was having a pretty good 'bout of nausea and just feeling in general - well - lousy. I 'think' God knew he needed a touch. . . isn't God good. . .
love to ALL,
nise

Brother,
Is it not a blessing from our Lord that He is using your pain and difficulties as a prompting through the Holy Spirit to call a multitude before the throne of grace on your behalf? We know that when we come into the presence of the Almighty, it is not Him who is changed, but rather us. So, even in the midst of your tempest when you may be tempted to feel like you are just on the sidelines, you are in-fact being used of God to draw His people closer to Himself! Praise God for your difficulty, for He has loved you and counted you worthy to go through it! We will continue to pray for sleep and further de-hole-ification.
Blessings,
Chris and Missy

Hey Aaron and Denise, Glad to see things are going well. We have been staying in touch, but this is our first chance to get to read the Blog. As you know, things have been a little crazy at our house. Addie and Lee's wedding went great Saturday. We missed you guys but are glad you decided to proceed with your surgery. Tim Keenum did a great job representing you. I see you may have the need for some blood and as God would have it, I am O neg, the Universal donor. Now you know who to come to if you need any. Image that, Don Miller blood in Aaron Johnson. Maybe you won't be as smart as the World's Smartest Man, but no doubt your IQ will be raised a notch or two. Ha Ha. We are getting ready for CPR and leave out Thursday morning. I know you would rather be with us than in the hospital. Make sure Jordan knows he can call on us at anytime. We love you guys and know that we are praying for you. Please call if you need anything, even my BLOOD!!!! Love Don and Diane
Hi Brother Aaron and Denise,
I had no idea you were having surgery until I just happened to chance upon Denae's facebook status, but I just wanted to share something.

(if you type that into your browser as one URL entry you can see what I'm talking about)
If I by the grace of God can lose 150+ pounds (so far) without surgery, then I know that my digestive system is not the only one that God can and will affect! May His blessing be upon you both during this recovery period and may the lovely blessing of undisturbed slumber fall gently upon your bed.

Hi Aaron.Good to here your recovery is going well.I tried to email you with no luck. Thanks again for calling me and having me in your prayers before my prostrate surgery.Everything still ok.I told my Doctor on last visit "that everything has something positive-even prostrate removal.I longer have to get the massage".And that is good.Dot and I will continue to have you and family in our prayers.Keep us in yours. Note: Remember what Reg.said.
