OK - so nights are not for sleep - i get it . . . The Adavan (sp) helps the hiccups - spasms but causes jitters and dreams, vivid dreams . . . are there no 'perfect' drugs? haha
(Channing you were prayed for at about midnight last night - don't really know what about but he was praying for you.) You know that saying he has passed on to you that, 'what is in the well comes up in the bucket' . . . his love and concern for his flock is in his well.
now i must confess there was some funny stuff in there too . . . for another time when he is better. . .
Today they say will be the toughest day. Everything is waking up - including him - and the pain will be worse. So we are preparing - he is getting a pain shot early! He did not have one yesterday at all.
But the good news is . . . it is day three and not day two!! Six days till the BIG bannana popsicle . . . they have really good ice chips here but come on . . .

I am glad to hear that you can keep your sense of humor during this ordeal, I know it must be difficult. I am praying for you both daily, thank you so much for the blogs...I enjoy reading them and knowing how you both are doing. Get some rest too, I know this is a struggle for you (you can pretend you don't know what I'm talking about, but a little birdy has a big mouth!) Get the rest you need, Aaron needs you strong!

Addie's rehearsal went well last night. Diane's nephew had an appendectomy yesterday during the bridesmaids luncheon. guess that's all I know for now.

I finally have words. I was coming home from work last night about 1:30 in the morning. I have been reading the blog on my hand held. I prayed for you all most of the way home. (seems like I can't think of much else lately) Thank you for keeping us so informed. Tell Aaron, the difficult takes a long time, and the impossible takes just a little longer. Praise to Him who speacilizes in the impossible. Or "what a Savior" says a friend.
Your strength is amazing. When I face my impossible, I know who Teresa and I will call on for coaching.
All of you be of good courage.

Just want you to know I am praying day and night for you. I was wondering why God kept waking me up in the middle of the night to pray for you. I pray your nights will go better and you can get some sleep! Thanks for keeping us up-to-date. Lately I've been impressed that "Count it all JOY..." applies to these extreme trials also. I pray that God is glorified, and that you will "lack nothing". GET WELL SOON!!

As several have mentioned, make sure to take care of yourself and refill your cup with quiet times, sleep, and food so that you have something left to pour out for Aaron when he goes through those difficult moments. Let the hospital staff do their job to take care of Aaron medically, because that is their job and part of what you're paying for. You are there to make sure they provide the best care for Aaron, to fill the gaps, and as Aaron's beloved, to give him the love and non-medical support that is so critical to his rapid recovery.

We have all been praying for you to recover quickly from this surgery. Thank God that we live in a country where we have excellent surgeons, especially the ability to have a Christian one. I will send you a copy of the book that I am reading now called Jesus M.D. which is excellent and will lift your spirits. Jesus is our Great Attending Physician. Denise, thanks for the daily posts--they help us keep informed and help direct our prayers. Stay strong!!!

As others have said, we do thank you for the updates. It's really neat to see others' comments too. We haven't gotten to really know folks at Summit as quickly as we would have wanted (only b/c of our circumstances, tho.)and it's neat to get a glimpse into their lives too. Who knew that Russ Smith had such a sense of humor-- ventilated gown!! LOL
Anyway, the specific prayer request are helpful. Since I'm awake multiple times in the night, feeding Miss Mary Mae, I will make a mental note to pray for sleep for ya'll while I'm not getting any!
And why is it that a cold-blooded person always seems to marry a warm-blooded person???
One more thing...what was the name of that hymn Aaron couldn't find in his hymnals? Did he check cyberhymnal.com?
