Good morn' friends,
Sleep is good!! Aaron is resting better - with a little 'aid' at night. Yeah!!
We are waiting now for the Urologist to make a visit and make a decision about the catheter. We do not have the results from the urine culture, but they did go ahead and start an antibiotic - to get a jump start just in case. Thanks for all the prayers i can say i have a peace that i did not have when Dr. Garcia first told us of the possible infection. God is good. . .
Aaron is eating - about every two hours he gets a 'hole' in his gut (his words) that says, "feed me"! So i got some soup in a cup and warm that when it hits. He is handling it well. The nurses keep warning him to not go too fast. He is on a limited 'real food' diet today. If he thinks he can eat it he can try - within limits. So i will be making a burger run shortly!! woo hoo!!
As Joseph was mentioned in one of the post i have to reflect, for that is my favorite story from the Old Testament. It would be hard to find a better story to explain the heart of God. (and i need this reminder again) . . . This story has absolutely nothing to do with dreaming. This is a beautiful story of God having a plan!! and yes it was a very good plan - but i am sure Joseph wasn't so sure about that, a lot of the time! God is interested in my holiness not my happiness. Only through holiness am i truly happy, and He knows this. God is a God of the big picture. He knew what had to be done to provide for the future of His people. He knows what has to be done to prepare ME for the plan He has for me. He KNOWS the future i do not!! The truly great news is that He is right here with me to carry me through the times that i do not understand, He always makes a peaceful way even in the storms, if i will only rest in Him. Thank you for allowing yourselves to be used to make this way easier and bearable. . .

We're praying the only staff infections Aaron has are the ones scheduled for each Tuesday!! (:^) May God's continued peace guard your heart and mind, and may the Great Physician lay His healing hand on Aaron as things progress.
Also remember Romans 8:18: "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us." I know Paul didn't have surgery in mind when he wrote those words, but they apply anyways.

Hello from New Orleans! I've been aching to post a comment, but couldn't find internet access. I'm posting from the library at NOBTS.
I can see why Aaron loves this place. It's got a "feel" that I can't really describe. I just finished the campus tour and got a look inside Leavell Chapel - beautiful. I have a meeting with Dr. Barlow in a few minutes and my workshop starts at 1PM. I feel like the Kindergartener getting on the bus for the first time. ;~> It's been 20 years since I've been in a college classroom.
Here's testament to how our loving Father weaves us all together. What did I see during my first sunset on campus - a rainbow. It was a gentle reminder to stop and pray, so prayers continue from Lousiana as well.
Enjoy the hamburger. I'm sure no mattter where it comes from, it will be the best ever.
I was strolling back through some old emails from Pastor Search Committee days. One of your first replies after you accepted the call was signed "your Pastor." At the time I didn't fully realize the impact of that simple salutation. Now I do. You've made a significant impact at Summit and in the lives of the McGullion family. Happy Anniversary and I'm glad your our pastor.

I was having my quiet time last night after I sent my message to you guys. One of the verses mentioned how God himself is our peace, and that is what I prayed for you.
Isn't it wonderful that when we walk through a valley of deep darkness he is our peace. When we can't sleep, when our finances are impacted by the economy, when we have lost our job, or have a wayward child he is our peace.
I thank God for His peace that passes our understanding. I praise God for who He is. I praise God for you.
